Matcha & Greens Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1/2 or 1/3 of a banana
  • 2 teaspoons organic matcha powder
  • 1 cup of swiss chard (or any other leafy green, fresh or frozen)
  • 1 cup of spinach (fresh or frozen)
  • 1-2 tablespoon peanut butter (or almond butter or another nut or seed butter)
  • 1 tablespoon chia or flax seeds
  • 1 serving Vanilla protein powder
  • 1-2 scoops Collagen powder
  • 1/2 cup almond milk (or more to your desired thickness)
  • 2-3 ice cubes

Process

  • Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender

Tips:

  • You want a total of at least 25 grams of protein
  • We like a 1:2 ratio of flavored protein powder to unflavored if the vanilla protein powder is too sweet, but feel free to mix up the ratios
  • If you don’t have a high-speed blender, we suggest blending your green leafy veggies with your almond milk first. Once well blended, add the additional ingredients. This will help prevent large pieces of green veggies in your smoothie and produce a smoother drink.
  • If you are hungry in less than 4 hours, increase your protein and fat next time you make this smoothie.
