Mint Chocolate Chip Smoothie

Share

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups unsweetened almond milk
  • 1/2 a small frozen banana, sliced
  • 1/2 a large avocado
  • 2 large handfuls of spinach
  • 30 grams of vanilla protein powder
  • a bunch of fresh mint or a few drops of mint extract
  • 1 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp cacao nibs (optional)

Process

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender
  2. Serve cold

Tips:

  • If your blender isn’t high-speed, blend spinach and almond milk first to avoid larger pieces of spinach, then add the avocado last
  • You want a total of at least 25 grams of protein in your smoothie. We find that the scoops that come with protein powders vary in size, so check your nutrition labels to ensure you are adding enough protein to keep you satiated and satisfied.
  • If the protein powder is too sweet for your liking, we like 1 scoop flavored + 1 scoop unflavored (like collagen peptides)
  • If you are hungry in less than 4 hours, increase your protein and fat next time you make this smoothie
