The Savory Green Smoothie

Ingredients

  • 2-3 ice cubes
  • 1 cup kale
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1/2 cup blueberries
  • 1 tbsp almond butter
  • 1/3 medium banana
  • 1 scoop of collagen powder
  • 1 scoop of protein powder
  • 1 tbsp of basil or chia seeds
  • 2 cups almond milk

Process

  1. Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender and blend until smooth.

Tips:

  • You can use fresh or frozen produce in this smoothie.
  • This smoothie is not as sweet as many others. Optional: 1 date if you want it to be a little sweeter.
  • If your blender is not high-speed, blend the greens and nut milk first. This will help prevent any large pieces of spinach.
  • You want a total of at least 25 grams of protein.
  • If you are hungry in less than 4 hours, increase your protein and fat next time you make this smoothie.
